In The Footsteps of Hatred
Synopsis
An historical series that explores and follows modern day anti-Semitism. The director of the series takes a four-episode journey in the footsteps of books, people, events and locations where anti-Semitism is rampant in all its forms.
The series examines the connection between the present wave of anti-Semitism and classic anti-Semitism, the status of art, culture and sports in the fight against anti-Semitism, the church's responsibility for encouraging hate against Jews and the relationship between anti-Semitism and hate towards foreigners in Europe.
Each episode will reveal a human story and a different aspect that stems from the diverse facets of anti-Semitism, the ways in which it is disseminated, the centers of influence and its cultural origins. At the same time, the series will contend with questions as to what extent the Jews use anti-Semitism in their favor, is there such a thing as self-anti-Semitism, and where is the best place for a Jew to live?
